Data Pacific Achieve New Microsoft Certifications

Data Pacific has attained Microsoft’s prestigious Gold Small Business competency and Cloud Accelerate Partner status, ensuring we remain fully equipped to provide the fast emerging next generation of IT solutions for SMEs.

Microsoft’s definition of ‘Small Business’ is between 5 and 250 employees and workstation users. This accounts for an incredible 98% of businesses in the UK, so achieving this status sets Data Pacific’s awarded IT expertise and customer service apart from other IT service providers and, places our focus right at the heart of this incredibly important sector within the UK’s business economy – which includes SMEs, education establishments, leisure attractions, hotels, local government and charitable organisations, to name but a few.

Attaining this standard further distinguishes Data Pacific within the top one percent of Microsoft’s partner ecosystem and demonstrates a ‘best-in-class’ capability and market leadership through technology, as well as commitment and value to small business customers by meeting their evolving needs in today’s ever changing business environment.

To earn a Microsoft Gold competency, partners must successfully complete a rigorous and auditable approval process, which includes exams and submitting customer references, with competency requirements designed to closely align with customer needs in order to add the greatest value for clients.

With the uprising of ‘Cloud’ computing and expected adoption by over 50% of small and medium businesses in the near future to drive their business operations, partners such as Data Pacific who invest in this competency are ready to support the rising business customer demand for Microsoft cloud solutions.

In recognition of our excelling work in delivering Microsoft cloud solutions to clients, Data Pacific has further been accepted into the Cloud Accelerate Partner programme.

Cloud computing is still very new to many business but can offer increased flexibility and productivity, reduce deployment costs, be a more cost effective alternative to traditional on-premises solutions and ultimately contribute to business growth.

Mark Hollingsworth, co-founder and Director of Data Pacific commented, “We’re very pleased to have passed the rigorous criteria and process to achieve the Microsoft Gold Small Business competency, as well as become a Cloud Accelerate Partner. As a company and team we are dedicated to ensuring we are at the front of the line in understanding and applying today’s and tomorrow’s technology to add the best value possible for our clients in the important small and medium business sector. Both of these achievements clearly demonstrate our company’s and staff’s expertise in, and commitment to, advancing technologies and delivering solutions for different business demands and customer requirements and I’d like to thank everyone at Data Pacific and our clients for their incredible hard work and input into helping the company achieve what we have.”

Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp said, “By achieving a gold competency, partners have demonstrated the highest, most consistent capability and commitment to the latest Microsoft technology. These partners have a deep expertise that puts them in the top 1 percent of our partner ecosystem, and their proficiency will help customers drive innovative solutions on the latest Microsoft technology.”
